The photograph shows a mother and two young children with the fabrics used in bedding and rugs. The textiles were popular in the 1960s and 70s but better man-made fibres and natural fibres later became more popular. Terylene (or Dracon) is a synthetic polyester fibre with patent rights owned by chemical company ICI. Crimplene is a texturised fibre produced by modifying Terylene.
