Leading a long stretch of covered path to the Shrine of Dhammikarama Burmese Temple will lead you to a hall where you can find a very different feel and look from a typical Thai Buddhist temple. The design and decorative presentation of a Burmese Temple may be not that appealing to Chinese who may has been visited a temple in Thailand or for that matter, Wat Chaiya that locates just opposite this Dhammikarama Burmese Temple.

One personal explanation could be lack of information to Burmese form of Buddhism practice. In fact, based on the internal presentation, I would conclude the temple management committee members may have also sensed the issue.
Whatever, the Dhammikarama Burmese Temple can be very appealing to Buddhist. Other than showcasing raw Burmese Buddhism practice the layout can also be treated as a native museum for Myanmar - widely regarded as one of the most mysterious Nation in ASEAM region over decades of closed economy due to Sanctions by Western countries over its military ruled government in power. However, if you simply separates Buddhism and political movement, Burmese Buddhism actually has a very much richer history than many countries in South East Asia. So, if you intend to spare some time visiting this unique Burmese temple, you ought to tune your mindset. The architecture of Wat Dhammikarama adopts a very original Burmese-style in its design. It is less influenced by other foreign elements in terms of its overall design and decoration. It retains a very strong sense of a country which has natural resources in wood and stone craftsmanship and even the temple's top and edging roofing design is departing from Thai temples. In here, you see another form of Buddhism presentation from an entirely different feel and look of a conventional Thai Buddhist temple design. All these which makes Dhammikarama Burmese Temple so unique on its own.
