Dude, you're getting a SEAGATE > WD
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Seagate, man I will probably continue with the solid trust in THIS BRAND because I have purchased six various drives and every single purchase is still 100% fully functional and no bad sectors!!! Even after sitting in a powered case with a WD drive that shorted out just above this very drive! My red harness was not included in the products default packaging and or presentation

Higher capacity storage for PS4
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for my Batman Arkham Knight PS4, because it was only 500 gigs. This is a great way to maximize the storage capacity, I still buy physical games but the installs are massive so this helps out a lot. I actually have another 2 TB drive on my 1st PS4 but this was cheaper in the end and I just picked it up at the store. You don't get the full 2 terabytes but that's the way it is with hard drives, I still have 1.7 gigs available which should last me a lifetime.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.was looking to upgrade my hdd on my ps4 since I was running out of room and my friend had purchased this particular hdd for his and thought the pricing for the size of it was great. read the reviews and seemed like everyone was happy with it. and so am I! installation was quick and easy and I have noticed my ps4 a bit faster since I swapped the hdd. I would recommend for anyone looking to get a bigger drive

great to expand hard drive for PS4
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are looking for a good hard drive to upgrade your PS4 look no further, this is the one you need (5400RPM is recommended, and the drive needs to be 2.5 inch) When I purchased my PS4 when it first came out, the unit that came in my PlayStation 4 500GB Best Buy Bundle. At the time I thought it was too much and that I would never see the day I'd run out of space. Well, after downloading all kinds of things from the PSNetwork (videos, dlc, games) the day finally came several months ago. I backed up as many things as I could on external drives but dlc and game installs kept using disk space until I was left with about 3 free gigs. With the price of the drives compared to a new PS4 it was a difficult decision, especially since there was a 1TB Hybrid SD HD that I was thinking of purchasing. After some research on the size of the drives, maximum capacity of the PS4 and other related topics, I ended up finding this drive in Amazon. After reading some of the reviews here I decided I would go for the 2TB drive. While I was researching on the web, I found a lot of different stories and assumptions on whether or not the fat PS4 was capable of handling a 2TB drive as well as some reports indicated formatting the drive would take between 14 to 60 hours! So this is how it went for me: I backed up the PS4 data using the Backup feature under System Tools, it took about an hour and a half to backup a little over 60 gigs. Removing the hard drive and replacing it could not have been easier (I struggled a little finding the right screwdriver though) and it took about less than 5 minutes; there are plenty of videos available in you tube that tell you how to do this. Once replaced, I started the PS4 and it immediately asked me to format the drive (I installed the drive out of the box), it literally took less than a minute to format a 2TB drive! After that, I went to system tools and restored my backup from my external drive, another hour and a half. So, as another reviewer confirmed, it took less than four hours to upgrade both hardware and software. Results so far have been great, I immediately started downloading more games and demos, space is no longer an issue! (for now, I guess) The PS4 does recognize the 2TB capacity as opposed as to what many websites indicated. For those concerned about the brand I would suggest you play it safe and go with Seagate, the original 500 gig drive I removed from my PS4 was a Seagate as well, no issues whatsoever in the four years I used it! Another happy upgrade! Hopefully there will be 3 or 4TB drives in the near future then it will be another happy upgrade!

Installed in my PS4 - Perfect!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installed into my PS4 in under 30 seconds. Word flawlessly and better and faster than the hard drive that came pre-installed. Not to mention 4x the space for my games! I can now install ALL of my PS4 games and have some room to spare. I cant stress enough how awful it is to have to uninstall a game to make room for another, so happy this works and is SO EASY to do!!!!

Great hard drive capacity for the price, 2 TB
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced my 750gig hard drive with this 2TB Seagate in my Toshiba Laptop SATELLITE P775-S7215. The original drive worked fine, just need more space. Used Acronis backup software which came with my Western Digital 3TB USB drive to back up, making a complete image. Also made a bootable Acronis DVD (you need this). Swapped hard drives, booted with the Acronis DVD I made and followed the prompts. The backup came off my WD 3TB USB drive and went right on the unformatted 2TB Seagate drive flawlessly. Acronis software also gets a 10. The first reboot was a bit slow must have had some stuff going on the the background, after that all normal. The system is a true copy of everything. It was a seamless migration to the larder drive, all programs there. Drive seems to be a little faster than what it replaced. The data transfer took about 2 hours.

Q: Questionwill this work on a PS4?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yes, it will work just fine. The system performance will be about the same but you'll have 4x the storage capacity of the standard 500gb drive Sony provides. After play station OS install and updates you'll have around 1.8TB left to use.

Q: Questiondoes this work with ps4how do i know the gb or size of this? it says i need one no less than 160 gb and i would need one bout the size of 9.5mm. and how does this run with ps4?
Asked by ps4 is full.
- A:Answer Yes, this will fit into your PS4 perfectly (I have one in mine) and after OS installation for your PS4 you will have about 1.77 TB free memory. IGN has a great guide on how to upgrade your PS4 hard drive, however you will also need a computer that can access the internet and a 2.0 USB stick with at least 1GB of memory

Q: QuestionHi, is this hard drive compatible with Sony Vaio Laptop computer, my hard drive is crashing, is a Hitachi 750 GB SATA drive. Thank you
Asked by manuelp.
- A:Answer Did you want to use it as internal hard drive? If yes; this isn't what you want. First of all it contains a 3.5" hard drive (laptops that don't have an SSD use a 2.5' Hard drive). Secondly, it contains a generic labeled Western Digital RED drive which are designed for a NAS to store data. They are not designed to be used as your primary (also known as the C: drive). Get yourself a Western Digital Black or Blue hard drive for your laptop and I think you'll be very happy. Hope this helps...

Q: QuestionHello, I have a Toshiba P75-A7200 laptop, which has a compartment for a 2nd drive and I would like to add this. Would I need to add my OS information to this drive as well or just leave it on the existing drive? Thank you
Asked by CAS.
- A:Answer This is entirely up to you but I would choose whichever drive is fastest for the OS and use the other drive as storage. Most likely the bigger the drive, the slower it is. Most drives this size are only 5400rpm and better drives are 7200rpm. The best option would be to run your OS off of a SSD and use the other drive to store your big files. SSD drives are about 5 times faster than even the 7200rpm drives. I hope this answered your question, good luck!!!

Q: QuestionI bought this product a couple months ago, I've been having problems with my Laptop's Disk Usage being at 98-100% at all times. I've tried changing settings around to improve performance, but the Disk Usage remains the same. Can anyone offer any help?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer I would recommend doing a clean Windows install if possible. The operating system is probably corrupt or has a virus. Back up all your data first before you do it. With a fresh version of Windows you can rule out the possibility of a bad drive or other hardware issues with your pc. I hope this answers your question, good luck!!!

Asked by DarkPhire.
- A:Answer You would definitely be required to reinstall Windows. New hard drives are always blank, no data, no OS.
