Bacopa Caroliniana propagation?’s

I’m gonna be moving this bacopa caroliniana to another tank, can i cut at base of plant maybe 2” from substrate then cut in half and have two plants? Will the bottom section when planted start new growth from its top?
What happens to the 2” that’s left behind, can that start new growth or will the roots rot?

and in the next pic I have some more, it’s only about 10” from other picture. And I’ve have healthy plants with the 4 that have lost most of their leaves?

Both forms of bacopa I propagate by cutting anywhere on the stem and replanting the trimmed section leaving the base to re-sprout

This link has a little more info on where to trim and growth. Evidently you can get desired growth from where you trim. 😳

I'll just confirm, yeah this Bacopa is pretty awesome because it's SO easy to grow and propagate. I have quite a bit. I don't consider where to cut I just cut where I want to see it shortened, roots will grow from both the cut piece and the planted piece. If you have a cut piece that got it on both ends you'll see roots eventually on both ends. Sometimes I'll float it for a bit (for me it's only because I'm not sure where to place it yet) You'll be fine, cut away!

I need to trim mine....it's reached the top of my 20 tall and growing at angles now, hehe....where am I going to put more....🤔
