Come spring, stand on the west side of 57th and Fifth and stare straight across the avenue. After three years of a daringlyambitious reimagining, Tiffany’s Landmark location will open those historic doors. Are the elevators where you remember? Are they attended?

Is the Tiffany diamond where you left it? Where are the Schlumberger bangles and the Paloma cabochons? The Peter Rabbit bowls? Does Atlas still preside? Is Elsa still on 3? As you peek inside and search for answersas if it were a treasure hunt, remember what this corner means to its city. If, as we have been hearing, Midtown Manhattan is back, Tiffany’s reopening is the official toast to its grand return. Let’s shop, okay, then let’s go celebrate with pepper martinis and those leeks at Le Rock.
