Selangor Forestry Department has blocked off the entrance of the Tabur west trailhead near the Klang Gates Dam as a way to inform the public that the ridge is out of bounds.
Hikers have to take difficult and dangerous steps while climbing Bukit Tabur. Sometimes, the solid boulders are in fact not stable.
Hikers need professional guidance especially when descending steep slopes like this.
Barriers like these in Bukit Tabur are still in good condition but they will have to be maintained, says Lim.
