SINGAPORE - She may have spent six months idling at a loss during the first stretch of the Covid-19 pandemic, but once home-grown singer Tanya Chua decided to document her feelings of loss and anxiety through music, the songs just flowed out of her.

In a video call with The Straits Times, the 46-year-old says it took her just weeks to write all the songs for her 12th album Depart.
