Lower Merion police say that a statue of the Michelin Man, an advertising symbol for Michelin tires, was taken with a ship’s wheel from Harry’s Treasures in Ardmore Dec. 7 at 3:24 p.m. The items were sitting outside of the store at the time of the theft.

Police say a witness entered the store and reported seeing three men running around a corner with the items. They were laughing.

The items were placed in a red utility work van. The van was seen exiting the nearby parking lot and going toward Cricket Avenue.
