Be more productive with your 'Mind like the water' !
Some guidelines to improve productivity that I found very useful :
- Focus more on less
- Say ‘No’ to everything that’s unimportant / Say yes to only the essential few.
- Schedule your time to work - Block the time you need to accomplish your ‘one thing’.
- Breack the big things into smaller things. The aller it is the easier is to estimate.
- Stop trying to remember everything - capture every commitment that you make somewhere that you’ll see it... build your "digital mind !"
- Develop a deep work habit - part of your routine. Schedule time in your agenda - preferably in the morning when energy levels are higher- remove distractions.
- Parkinson law : 1 - limit tasks to the important to shorten work time - 2 - Shorten work time to limit tasks to the important (inversions).
- Thing progress, believe in progress, push for progress ! Think improvement in everything you do. Over a period of time, subordinates tend to become carbon copies of their chief. Be sure the master copy is worth duplicating.
- The way you build momentum is by getting something done and then moving on to the next thing : Momentum fuels motivation !! keep this front of mind and remind yourself that the key for persistence is to fuel your motivation with momentum!
- and... Keep your "Mind like water " (David Allen)
