Rachel Bilson Gives the Peplum an Update, Looks Adorable in Blue Oscar de la Renta (I Love Her!!)

Self-admitted homebody Rachel Bilson doesn't hit the party scene that often, but when she does, it just makes my day. Full disclosure: I'm obsessed with her off-screen style and her on-screen characters—if you don't watch Hart of Dixie, you really should (ZADE), and Summer Roberts forever! But back to the point of this post, Rachel hit the premiere red carpet of her upcoming film with Aubrey Plaza, The To Do List, and reimagined the peplum trend. Rachel Bilson in an Oscar de la Renta dress and Casadei pumps The '80s-esque skirting has been around for quite a few seasons now and doesn't show signs of going anywhere, but it's easy to get a bit of peplum fatigue (just ask Laurel). Thankfully, Rachel took the silhouette to a new level with this floral-embroidered Oscar de la Renta cocktail frock. At initial glance, it looks like an Empire-waist type of peplum, but at closer look, it's more of a structured cape-overlay, abbreviated-train sort of thing. Either way, it's delightful and she looks beautiful in it. Plus, blue is such an appropriate color to wear right now!
