Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin will not be taking the marital plunge despite published reports.

The 33-year-old billionaire was reportedly set to say 'I do' to Rachel Kum, the 2009 Miss Singapore Universe, in a ceremony on Saturday, June 27.

It was reported that Saverin would spending millions to rent out all 74 rooms and suites at the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat Four Seasons on the French Riviera for the big day.

His representative however reports that Saverin and Kum are not in fact getting married, and that the two have never even dated.

Page Six picked up the report from the Brazilian website Glamurama that claimed Saverin was flying in his friends from all over the world for the big day.

Most of the tech world's biggest names were set to already be in nearby Cannes that week for the annual Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity.

Saverin, who is worth a staggering $5.1billion, is said to have saved over $700million when he renounced his United States citizenship in 2011 and moved to Asia.

He said of his decision in a 2012 interview; 'The decision was strictly based on my interest of living and working in Singapore. I am obligated and I will pay hundreds of millions of dollars in taxes to the American government. I already paid and I will keep paying whatever taxes I owe based on my time as a U.S. citizen.'

Saverin, who was born in Brazil and emigrated to the United States in 1993 with his family, has never returned to the US since moving to Singapore in 2009.

Kum meanwhile has her own cosmetics company, Rachel K Cosmetics, which Saverin is not an investor in despite previously published reports.

And while Kum did not win the 2009 Miss Universe title, she did walk away with awards for Miss Body Beautiful and Miss Personality.

Kum, 30, actually worked at a hedge fund before competing in Miss Universe, and holds a finance degree from the University of Western Australia.

Saverin, who held the roles of chief financial officer and business manager for the first few years of Facebook before leaving the company, settled a lawsuit with Zuckerberg in 2010 after it was revealed that his shares in the company had been diluted by his former friend after being cut from the company.

Their contentious relationship was the focus of the 2012 film The Social Network, where Zuckerberg was played by Jesse Eisenberg and Saverin by Andrew Garfield.

Saverin, who is not allowed to speak of the terms of his settlement with Facebook due to a non-disclosure, said of Zuckerberg in 2012; 'I have only good things to say about Mark, there are no hard feelings between us.

'His focus on the company since its very first day is anything short of admirable. He was a visionary, he always knew that the only way for Facebook to grow was to maintain its central idea, that of people truly presenting themselves as they are, without nicknames or pseudonyms.'

Saverin now spends his time investing in companies, and as he has not been back in the country was not at the weddings of any of his fellow Facebook founders over the past six years; Zuckerburg, Chris Hughes and Dustin Moskovitz.

It is not known if he was invited to these weddings.
