Important Note: Look through your windshield to see if your factory mirror has a mount that looks like the one pictured here (and in the product photos above). Overview: The Brandmotion FVMR-1150 FullVUE rear-camera mirror is designed to replace the factory rear-view mirror and provide a continual image of what's behind the vehicle, via a rear-mounted camera, along with a built-in front-view camera for recording the road ahead. Designed for installation in over-size vehicles, the FVMR-1150 includes a total of 71.4' of video cabling, making it ideal for commercial trucks and vans. Other features include automatic brightness control and Intelligent Park Monitoring, utilizing the front camera to monitor your vehicle while parked. The FVMR-1150 includes a built-in mirror mounting arm with a universal D-Tab wedge mount.

Note: The FVMR-1150 is designed for vehicles that feature a D-Tab Wedge Mount type rearview mirror mount.

Rear-View Camera: The Brandmotion rear-view mirror kit includes a waterproof 1080p HD rear camera that can provide a continual display of the area behind the vehicle with no obstructions from headrests, passengers, luggage, etc. The camera features a wide viewing angle with 170° of horizontal and 150° of vertical coverage, and includes mounting hardware. The rear-view camera carries an IP67 waterproof rating.

Note: The rear camera image is displayed as a Mirror image and cannot be reversed.

Mirror Display&Front Camera: The FVMR-1150 replacement mirror features a 9.66" LCD touchscreen with a high definition 1980 x 320 pixel display, capable of playing back recorded video. The full touchscreen also provides easy adjustment for all settings and features advanced anti-glare tempered glass. A one-touch, on-screen selection lets you quickly switch between the mirror and the rear-camera view. The FVMR-1150 mirror also includes a built-in, 2 Megapixel, front-facing camera for continual 1080p recording of the front of the vehicle.

DVR: The Brandmotion FVMR-1150 features a built-in 2-channel DVR that continually records both camera's video to the included 32GB micro-SD card, overwriting the oldest video when the card is full. If the internal G-sensor detects an impact, it will lock that section of video to the card. G-sensor sensitivity can be set to either Off, Low, Medium, or High.

Lock Video: Pressing the Lock Video icon on the mirror will save the current video, preventing it from inadvertently being overwritten, even if the SD card runs out of space.

Photos: A photo or "screenshot" can be taken by pressing the Screen Capture icon on the mirror, saving the current screen image to the Photo folder.

Reversing & Parking Guidelines: When the video extension cable's attached reverse wire (red) is connected to the vehicle's reverse wire, parking guidelines will overlay the rear image while reversing. This will also remove the wide-view "fish-eye" effect of the camera image. If the reverse wire is not connected, the camera will still provide a continual rear-view image on the mirror/display.

Night Sight: This setting can be switched on during low-light conditions for a clearer image. Options include Standard Video; for normal daytime use, Enhanced Video; for crisp color enhancement, and Evening Light; for sunset or dusk low-light conditions.

Intelligent Parking Monitor: The FVMR-1150 features 12 or 24 hour Intelligent Parking Monitoring that uses G-sensor activation to capture an impact, via the front camera, while the vehicle is parked. Recording is in a time lapse mode, capturing 1 frame every second. Every 2 minutes of video will be 1 hour of recording time. G-sensor Parking Monitor sensitivity can be set to either High or Low.

Where do you mount the rear external camera for proper view?

Greetings Eric. Thank you for your question. Rearview camera installs vary on the vehicle. What you want is as close to center as possible. The bracket is adjustable to compensate for a higher or lower angle.

How is power connected, is there a hardwire option - assume 12volts is converted to 5 volts, how many amps, is there an adapter required or is a line tap required - for 2019 Ford F150?

Shart answer: Not sure if it the interconnect harness converts it to 5V or not, but it looks to be proprietary-ish. They are the 4-pin automotive camera connectors to the rear camera and I think to the mirror or power leads, so maybe it stays 12V? The Battery lead has a 15Amp fuse built in. Long answer: What I do know is that the +12V wires have add-a-fuse connectors at the ends to tap into available fuse slots. The Constant +12V yellow wire has a 15Amp fuse and I think (don't quote me, it might be a high-Amperage fuse as well) the red wire acts more like a turn-on lead in case you have your reverse wire near the fuse panel or other options for trigger versatility. You can also use the reverse lead in the long rear camera cable. Having all power available with the key off is convenient, but can kill your battery in a week. I am still seeing if I need to get a secondary power source or a solar battery maintainer, as my van is not a diesel, nor is it a daily driver, but it does shake when cars whiz by it and that triggers the parking monitoring system. I could have installed something incorrectly, but again, 15Amps directly from the battery? You can use the mirror and the dashcam and record stuff all without turning the key, and it even records from the front cam automatically when it detects motion. For my van, it's a bit overkill. I have way too much extra rear camera wire rolled up in the high roof. But if you're towing something or have a large box truck? I think it's geared more for that or a diiesel. Everything else is awesome. I just cannot seem to keep it from killing my battery without losing all the settings. I like it enough to be considering a solar charger somehow.

I am installing Brandmotion FLTW-7626 and was wondering if that product will work with this mirror if I choose to use that camera instead of the one in this kit? Or is there a better mirror that will work with Brandmotion FLTW-7626?

This mirror is made to only work with the included backup camera. We do offer other mirrors with similar abilities that will work with a backup camera like the one you mentioned. I recommend contacting an advisor by calling 1-800-324-9695 to discuss all the goals and preferences to get a personal recommendation on one
