DescriptionI have wanted a piece from Gene Deitch’s work on “The Cat” for so many years. His comic was published in a jazz magazine called “The Record Changer” back in the day that focused on jazz obsessed record collectors. Fantagraphics reprinted all the comics a few years ago. Check it out if you can. And go watch some of Deitch’s work in animation too, if you are so inspired.This image is probably the most iconic one from the run. I had my eye on several vinyl themed pieces recently but kept missing them. Such a fantastic style!
