Vic Chou dislikes the notion of revenge

3 Nov – Taiwanese star and Golden Bell Awards' Best Actor, Vic Chou, wants the media and public to stop making speculations about his supposed rivalry with actor Mark Chao.

QQ website reported that following the actor's recent victory at the Golden Bell Awards, speculations arise that Vic may finally mend his friendship with Mark and Mark's father, Allen Chao, who was suspected of having rigged the system that enable his son to win Best Actor for his role in "Black & White" in 2009.

The 32-year-old actor denied reports saying that he experienced depression after losing to Mark Chao in 2009 and disapproved how the media has portrayed his victory as "revenge" for what happened then, saying, "I never said such things. There is no revenge whatsoever. That's only what you thought."

The "Home" actor also stressed that he does not care about winning awards and only hope to play various roles, adding, "I hope that I will not be offered just romantic roles."

Although Vic confessed that he and Mark were no longer in contact with each other, he said that he will not turn down any offer to work with his former "Black & White" co-star, saying, "I like working with good actors, and he is one of them."
