Timer Remote Controller TC-80N3 is a remote switch with the following timer control and exposure count control functions. It is very useful for time-lapse photography of blooming flowers, astrophotography, etc.

Connectable to the camera’s quick-lock remote control socket.
The time is settable in 1-sec. units from 1 sec. to 99 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 sec. The set time period can be used for any timer function.
The remote switch function can be used without battery power.
Extension Cord ET-1000N3 (sold separately) can extend the TC-80N3’s distance to the camera by 10 meters.

All the instructions in this booklet assume that the TC-80N3 and any other equipment are already turned on. Before proceeding, make sure the TC-80N3 and other equipment are on.

About the LCD Panel

The display panel uses a liquid crystal display. With time, the display will become lighter and harder to read. In such a case, take the product to your nearest Canon Service Center to replace the display panel (at cost). At low temperatures, the display response may become slower. And at 60°C/140°F and higher temperatures, the display may blacken. In either case, the display will return to normal at room temperature.

Do not make any changes or modifications to the equipment unless otherwise specified in the instructions. Timer Start/Stop With   button
In-Operation Indicator Indicated by the mode’s icon displayed or blinking on the display panel and by the countdown of the remaining time or exposures.
Hold Function HOLD appears when the  button is pressed for 3 sec. This disables all other buttons and dial. The Hold function is canceled by pressing the  button for 3 sec. again.
Display Panel Illumination Pressing the  button illuminates the display panel for 6 sec.
Release Button Provided for halfway and complete pressing. Release lock provided. Can be used to release the shutter even during self-timer and interval timer operations.
