Skype Group Video Calls - Mobile
One of the final projects I shipped during my time at Skype, was also one of the most requested features from our mobile app users - Group Video Calling.
There were a lot of fun challenges from both a development and design interaction perspective. Participants on a call can be chatting via a wide range of devices, which means the interface needs to handle every aspect ratio you can imagine in both portrait and landscape modes!
Here is a snapshot exploring interactions that provide a rich, out of the box experience, yet remain flexible enough to enable users to customise their layout.
