#Watashi no Oshi wa Akuyaku Reijō

A gamer lesbian navigating the world of her favorite dating game set in a time great social upheaval, pursuing the one true pairing the original script never let her have.

I have at times described my personal anime, games, etc hobby site as “I basically write book reports for fun.”

Yet until now: I had not tried writing a literal book review since graduate school!
Which was, uuuhhh... over a decade ago.
[And that’s not as fun of a review style to write]

So as part of trying new things and how my hobby website turned ten years old in July, I aim to have write ups for each of the I'm in Love with the Villainess novels before the anime begins airing this October.

(I’d like to pull some other books off my shelves for similar projects in the future, I think, if I enjoy this experience enough.)

The simple adult escapism of “What if I overworked myself to death so hard at my office job I finally had the time to dream of pursuing the lady I like in my favorite video game?”

...We dream the big dreams, folks.

I have read a lot of really nice things about the "I'm in Love with the Villainess" novels over the years, so I’m looking forward to finally reading them!

And yes: when I was lining these books up, it was extremely funny seeing the sheer size difference between volume one and two. Even here, you can see how it casts a little shadow.

Glad that one has a big kiss right on the cover.

There’s an anime series coming in the fall, so while that production could turn out any possible way: now seemed like a good time to start the books so the source material will be fresh in my mind!

What I would also like to do is make writeups for the books as I finish them.

My anime hobby website turned ten years old like a week and a half ago. So, I think it would be good to try some different-but-related-enough projects. I have plenty of stuff on my bookshelves I could pick out over time.

I figure the odd light novel or manga writeup won’t horrify folks.
