Zoa Eating Nudibranch

How do I get rid of Nudibranch without killing other organisms like bristle stars. I dipped coral before putting it in tank but I think I missed the eggs nou my tank is full of small ones.

Manual removal or find a predator of them like a Yellow Coris Wrasse,etc...
Flatworm exit can be used too

Well they only eat zoas, so let them munch out then die, if you only have a few colonies left.
Next time FW dip, and QT for a few weeks, Bayer dips would work during QT.

Don't worry bout brittles, they cone and go.

Don't think I want them to eat the rest of the zoas that is left, coral cost a lot in South Africa

Those look like berghia nudibranch. Find someone with aptasia and sell them. I almost paid $20 a piece for them last year, but bought peppermint shrimp instead.

They may look the same but they are a different species that is specialized to eat a different coral (technically Aiptasia belong to corals). These nudibranch species are so specialized that they won't touch anything other than their target coral genus or even species that retraining them on other food sources won't work.

Can you remove the remaining zoas to a QT tank for 6 weeks, you might can solve the problem.
Still dip zoas every week while in QT. Good luck
(Sorry, I'm just shooting from the hip since I don't know how many colonies you have)

That’s interesting. I didn’t even know there was such a thing, but looking around I see a bunch of people have been talking about the zoa eating berghia. That makes me happy that I didn’t actually purchase berghia from a local store. Who knows what exactly I would have purchased. That certainly has to make one think twice about purchasing berghia if there’s no definitive way to tell the difference between the 2.

There’s always something new to learn in this hobby. Even after 20 years....
